L’avènement du mouvement des Riot Grrrls aux États-Unis puis dans d’autres parties du monde a fait couler beaucoup d’encre engendrant un véritable champ d’études “Riot Grrrl Studies”. En 2010, l’écrivaine et musicienne américaine Sara Marcus publiait un essai sur ce mouvement (Girls to the Front. The True Story of the Riot Grrrl Revolution), en 2013 Feminist Press à New York éditait le recueil de zines The Riot Grrrl Collection et en 2015 Sonia Gonzalez réalisait le très bon documentaire « Riot Grrrl – Quand les filles ont pris le pouvoir » pour Arte (déjà cité sur ce blog). Notons qu’en France, avec un article en 2010 dans Multitudes et deux ouvrages publiés chez Zones en 2016 et iXe en 2018, les travaux de Manon Labry sont pionniers (voir ma note de lecture sur ce blog).
